Our fundraising

Operanauts hosts a variety of fundraising events throughout the year to achieve our targets and goals. The funds that we raise directly contribute to a specific upcoming program to help us work towards our overall mission. We’ve had great success in the past, hosting local events such as sponsored walks and coffee tasting, and online events like our #SingingTuesday Silly Song Contest!

#SINGINGTUESDAY

We challenged our network of singers on social media to make a #SingingTuesday Silly Song Contest by sharing 60 second videos to encourage donations. This fundraising event raised money to support the first Génie des Arts Singing Competition in Kinshasa.

5K WALK

Our 5K walk helped raise funds for our Opera Fellows program in 2016. Our dedicated supporters walked a lap from the music conservatory in Princeton to the amphitheatre and back, with musical enterainment at the amphitheatre.

SUMMER OPERA PROGRAM

We partnered with the Springpoint Foundation Grant & Residency Program at Monroe Village Senior Living, who generously provided the funds, lodging and venue space for our open-dress rehearsal and reception for La Petite Carmen.

ANNIVERSARY COFFEE PARTY

Our Anniversary Coffee Party fundraising event is hosted by a Tasting Master at Starbucks who explains the subtleties of different coffees from South America and Central Africa with the perfect dessert to pair with each coffee. The event also features festive carols by a high school choir and a gift basket raffle.

SIP & PAINT

Our New Year’s eve/afternoon fundraising event is hosted by a creative artist who provides us with a blank canvas and the opportunity to create a painting that reflects a scene of hope for Congo. This event inspires us to start the new year with an aligned Operanauts mission.

HOT DOGS

We partnered with local Tower Dogs who generously donated 20% of all meal purchases on May 12, 2017. This fund contributed to giving 10 Soloist Scholarships to choristers in Congo, along with voice lessons and the resources to learn to sing a solo aria.

Fundraise with us

We always welcome new faces at any of our fundraising events, and we invite you to get in touch to stay up-to-date on our upcoming gatherings.
