Opera Music Festival

Operanauts is currently raising funds to organize the first annual Opera Music Festival in Kinshasa.

The inaugural festival will comprise of three musical acts, opening with the OPERANAUTS Orchestra Chamber Ensemble, followed by the debut of our opera production La Petite Carmen, and finally a reinterpreted opera and classical music performance that will reflect Congolese culture and music.

For the past five years we have cultivated more than 10 arts & culture partnerships and made connections with almost 300 performers, including orchestra musicians, choristers, opera singers, ballet dancers, modern dancers, Congo jazz musicians, chamber ensemble musicians, comedians and children’s chorus. We hope to reach an intergenerational audience of 4,500 people in Kinshasa, to deliver messages of hope, dignity, transformation and sustainability through music.
