Support Students’ Practice Marathon
By supporting Students’ Practice Marathon, you empower student musicians in New Jersey whose dedicated practice creates positive impact, opportunity, and healing for young musicians in Congo.

Students’ Practice Marathon
The Students’ Practice Marathon is a peer-to-peer music fundraising initiative that turns daily practice into meaningful social impact. Over a 100-day period, string students invite friends, family, and community members to pledge a dollar amount for each practice session completed.
Using a sense of play in their practice, young musicians can approach practice with curiosity, imagination, and joy—treating repetition as creative exploration. This approach strengthens technical skills while nurturing confidence, self-expression, and resilience.
Your donation transforms practice into purpose.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, the Student Practice Marathon transforms students’ commitment and hard work into meaningful opportunities for musicians in Congo.
In 2025, the marathon funded a replacement violin, along with new strings and rosin for the chamber ensemble. In 2026, students practiced for 100 days, from January 12 through May 3, raising support to cover shipping and provide a new viola for a musician in Kinshasa.
Every day of practice became part of something bigger: an instrument in the hands of a musician, new possibilities for making music, and a lasting impact made possible by our community of supporters.
Donate today and help turn practice into positive change.
